Renata Wosik is the Director and Principal Psychologist at RWPsychology, leading a practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care across South West Sydney. With more than twenty years of clinical experience, Renata has supported individuals and families through a broad range of mental health challenges. Her areas of particular interest and experience include eating disorders, trauma and neurodivergence.
Throughout her career, Renata has worked in schools, non-profit organisations, Indigenous Healthcare Centres and NSW Government Mental Health services. That breadth of experience across complex mental health settings informs her clinical work every day.
Renata’s practice philosophy is grounded in empathy, authenticity and genuine human connection. She believes therapy should help patients feel seen, supported and empowered to work toward meaningful change in their lives. In her clinical work, Renata draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Family Based Treatment (FBT), tailoring her approach to each person’s individual needs and circumstances.
Renata has a particular interest and experience in supporting adults who are exploring whether they may be neurodivergent, or who are navigating life after a later diagnosis. As a neurodivergent clinician and parent, she brings lived experience and a practical, neuroaffirming approach to this work. Renata also has experience adapting eating disorder treatment where neurodivergence is present, recognising that a one-size-fits-all approach does not serve every patient well. She trains other clinicians in Family Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, reflecting her depth of experience and commitment to advancing eating disorder care.
